I have lived in Brisbane since the 1980s and have a degree in Anthropology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied History, both from the University of Queensland. I am also a member of the Professional Historians Association (Queensland), and was a co-recipient of the prestigious John Oxley Library Award in 2021.
My Public History work is informed by a strong commitment to Historical Integrity and building public engagement with heritage places. Much of this work has been offered as a volunteer service, and you can read about my advocacy work here.
I have a long record of membership of various community history organisations, some of which I founded or co-founded, and also have served on the council of the Queensland branch of the National Trust of Australia and the board of Brisbane Living Heritage.
