Over the last two decades I have created, collaborated on, or delivered successful guided tours for thousands of customers in various heritage places around southeast Queensland. These have been in a volunteer capacity and include the day and night tours of cemeteries at South Brisbane, Toowong, day tours at Mt Gravatt and Ipswich, and the volunteer-led tours at the Boggo Road Gaol Museum prior to 2006.
Themes have included women’s history, capital punishment, cemetery folklore, true crime, local history, prison history, headstone symbology, folklore, general cemetery history, and comparative funerary practices.
These tours strongly prioritise historical accuracy and integrity, while allowing customers to engage with hosts in a friendly and informal manner.
